Past News

———————————————————–

There are events of great joy and celebration from the past (2010) connected to Angela that need be mentioned, namely the births of Chloe Angela to her dear colleague Joyce, and to family members David and Anna Grosso the birth of Stella Angeline with a sweet double nod to their Aunt Gella . We wish them all the best with Divine love, good fortune, and Angela’s watchful blessing.

Original Post April 2008

The sudden passing of Angela Morga on April 3, 2008 in Park Slope Brooklyn brought shock and sadness to all family and friends who knew and loved her. A native of Syracuse NY, Angela worked her way through the Cambridge and Boston area eventually settling on a self directed path toward Montessori training and the start of her professional career at the Kinsgley School and later at Boston Head Start. A move to New York City led to a 10 year tenure at the Caedmon School on Manhattan’s upper East Side. Angela was recognized as a dedicated teacher with uncommon skills aimed at helping children realize and achieve their full potential. With empathy and a flair for theatrics Angela engaged each child with her transforming talent. She will be missed and remembered by everyone she touched. Having known Angela for a good number of years, my hope is that past and present friends and family can get together and share a comment or brief tale of our dear friend.

Old News

Services for Angela were held in Syracuse April 10th and 11th . As to be expected, the wake was a subdued and somber affair, yet the love in that room seemed to buoy the deepest grief, soothe the unbearable pain and heartbreak, and connect us all to a larger family capable of our “sorrows’ cure”. A Mass in her honor was offered the next day with a lovely eulogy delivered by Father Michael Carmola; family, friends, and colleagues spoke briefly of her life’s work, her spirit, and humor. A song was sung. In all, a remarkable ceremony; dignified, heartfelt, and down to earth. Blessings on all who partook.
