Angela Maria Morga (Grosso)
Angela Maria Morga (Grosso), 45, daughter of the late Cosimo J. and Angeline M. Morga and raised with the family of Anne N. and the late Frank R. Grosso, died Thursday, April 3, at New York Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn. Residing in Brooklyn for the past 10 years, Angela was a trained Montessori teacher, working in Boston for several years prior to relocating to New York, where she taught pre-school at the prestigious Caedmon Montessori School in Manhattan. In addition to teaching in the classroom, Angela developed and taught the school’s first science program. Angela’s co-teachers described her as “an outgoing, hardworking teacher, a unique individual with a quick wit and warm heart, a genuine performer who shares her honest passion for learning with those around her and is always able to captivate the attention of her students with genuine enthusiasm.” Angela is survived by Cosimo’s sister, Anne N. Grosso; five brothers, Michael V. (Darlene) Morga, Stephen F. Morga, Mark (Carol) Grosso and Anthony (Annette) Grosso, all of Syracuse, and Frank (Marylee) Grosso of Boston; aunts and uncles, Michael Morga of Las Vegas, NV, Leonard and Grace Brugnola of California, Vincent and Dolores Mazza of Baldwinsville and Josephine Morga of Syracuse; three nieces, Katie and Alexis Grosso, and Karen Morga-Dodge; four nephews, David, Christopher and Brian Grosso, and Kevin Schmitte; loving companion, Peter Scibetta; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Friday at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME and 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be private. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street.
